Man and Superman Bernard Shaw (English Version) - Odyssee

In the play’s famous third act, known as “Don Juan in Hell,” Tanner dreams he is Don Juan and engages in a metaphysical discussion with the Devil, Doña Ana, and the Statue, debating the nature of life, heaven, and human progress. This act reveals Shaw’s deeper philosophical inquiries into morality, creativity, and the purpose of existence. Ultimately, Man and Superman blends comedy with social critique, challenging conventional notions of gender roles and romantic ideals, while presenting Shaw’s belief in human potential and the power of reason to shape society.
