Beowulf is an Old English epic poem that tells the tale of a heroic warrior who battles monstrous forces to protect his people and uphold a code of honor. The poem closes with Beowulf’s funeral, a solemn reflection on the themes of loyalty, legacy, and the inevitability of mortality.
